ICW Power was invited by CEL to provide a power solution when Ahlstrom wanted to extend their specialty paper and fibers manufacturing plant in Chirnside, Berwick.
The company provided a new switchboard together with three (3x) transformers interlinked by overhead busbars, a large LV switchboard and assciated power factor correction equipment for the system.
Scope of project for ICW comprised :-

1x 11KV 1250A air insulated Simoprime switchboard

3x 1.6MVA 11KV/400V cast resin transformers each housed within a purpose manuyfactured sheet steel enclosure

3x Set of 3200A cast resin overhead interlinking busbars

1x 11 metre long, fully type tested 3200A LV switchboard

3x 200 Kvar fully automatic power factor corrections cubicles
ICW power carried out the complete site installation and co-ordination of all equipment including testing and commissioning to the clients requirements.
